I decided to come back. I’m in town, busy moving and have decided to stay… for now.
I decided to come back. I’m in town, busy moving and have decided to stay… for now.
Tomorrow morning I will be flying, not across an ocean for once but across some land. I, with a team of about 20 will be flying to Mexico for a missions trip. We will be going to support a small Christian school. We have a construction team, a teaching team, and a presentation team. Our goal is to help strengthen the roof of the school which is sagging over some classrooms before it falls, and to encourage the teachers by bringing resources and leading a couple seminars. We will also be spending time with the kids — playing, having games and doing a drama presentation.
We leave tomorrow and come back the 24th. Our schedule is packed each day from 6:30am to 10pm at night.
Your prayers are appreciated.
Pray for strength, joy and peace for the team. Pray that we are protected.
Most importantly that GOD would be gloriefied and that this would create positive change in the community.
Thanks so much — I’ll be back in contact on the 25th.
She trailed her hand in the water, a spidery vein rippling towards the shore. Each finger leaving a trail. When I drove to work, she was already gone, but the lines of color remained. Yellow and orange.
I thanked her.
As a young girl, after my family moved to the Logos II to sail the ocean, in the wake of missing my friends, I dreamed of the perfect place.
This perfect place would be my home and while it would be beautiful and peaceful, the most important component of this place was its people.
My dream home contains all the people closest to my heart, and the “to be” friends I did not have enough time to build close relationships with.
The friends I’ve made are scattered across the globe; many of them no longer living in the the place where I knew them. My perfect place would hold them all.
Most of my recent friends are in Fresno and San Diego, but then there are the close friends overseas.
Aura - Romania Miss Alli - Scotland Ruth - Mexico Kylie - Australia Helena-Middle East… the list goes on.
In my perfect place we would not do anything spectacular. There would be no candy trees or roller coasters. But we would live life -go about our business - and there would be conversations and stories. Our relationships would solidify and deepen into strong towers of trust until we became intimate witnesses of each other’s lives.
**inspired by seeing Justin Idlet’s name on my comment list.
