Kathy,
Thank you for giving me this quote (see below) and being such a friend! I miss you!
———————————–
This weekend I have been pouring a lot of words out with my heart swimming in their midst,
vulnerability leaning against the tears of their ocean.
I have received many gifts – breaths against my face -
showing me I am still loved
and seen and accepted despite the shit of some of my stories.
Thank you to everyone who is helping me – and to those of you who have helped me thus far.
This is a journey we cannot do alone – thank you for allowing me to need you -
to hold your hand -
whether it is a physical reality or an emotional or spiritual one.
You are the gifts and the best part of my life -
chaff dissapearing in the sky

having neither to weigh thoughts
nor measure words, but to

chaff and grain
together,
knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep
what is worth,
and then,

the rest away.

Hi sweetie
Lifted you up in prayer this morning. Truly God is so good and He is so very faithful! Prayed especially our Father will through the power of the Holy Spirit, lead and direct your path daily and keep you so close to Him that if He whispers you will be obedient. Your prayer need is what every child of God should seek daily!

After an especially difficult call, I opened this letter sent to my attention from a chaplain I had spoken to a week ago, and was blown away by the timing of the encouragement
the ocean
She leans against the railing looking across the ocean, hoping for a dolphin or a flying fish. Against the inconsistency of her surroundings, her internal world remains the same. Her dreams and the color of them does not change. Each moment of beauty she experiences simply adds another dimension – a second image – a greater depth – to her dreams.
A rolling hill in Germany
Fish scattering and re-gathering in clusters in the ship’s shadow
The moon carving a path of silver in the dark waves
She can see her feet, skipping down the path
The beauty is broken only by pain and evil.
She no longer thinks she is innocent.

Pleasure is very seldom found where it is sought. Our brightest blazes are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks.

Walking with Justin around the lake, we paused at a bench to watch the sinking sun. The sky was orange and pink – not vibrant but a calm coloring. A tree’s branches sprayed away from it’s trunk. Against the colors it looked dark and like a sillhuette in the window, dancing.
Walking with Justin as we shared stories was unsought pleasure. The evening sky surrounding us and the calm of the lake was broken only by duck’s conversation and the gently lapping of water against the shore.
