Look up at all the stars in the night sky and hear your Father saying, “I carefully set each one in its place. Know that I love you more than these.” Sit by the lake’s edge, listening to the water lapping the shore and hear your Father gently calling you to the place near His heart.

I ran after my Abnormal Psych class today – to relieve the pressure of all the thoughts in my brain -

class was heavy today – lots of discussions and as we talk

i feel as though a heavy hand is pressing down on my heart and mind

allowing me to feel the responsibility that lies in becoming a therapist -

i really don’t want to be one -

to have to look at the uglieness of the world – the mess of people’s lives

to enter into with them

to lay out a path – hopefully towards the light…

so i ran to quiet the internal conversation

and it worked…

now i’m going to paint and then it’s off to bed…

and restful sleep.

Adventures don’t have to be earth shattering events -

they can be as simple as talking to a stranger

learning something new

exploring an unknown street or city

or simply taking the time to pay attention to people or things previously unnoticed.

Keep quiet. Do the work you have to do in life, but inwardly keep quiet. Then you will have understanding.

Questions about the future swirl in the sea of my soul

as my fingers rummage into the depths trying to find an answer.
