I thought I was healed.
Waking up, years ago when I was in college, I could see across the room. Thank you Lord!
I leapt out of bed and walked around the room, shocked that I could see. It was only when I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror that I noticed the faint outline of a contact around my pupil.
Today I woke up able to see across the room thanks to my Lasik surgery a week ago. This morning marks a full week of vision. While I believe that God can heal us instantly, my sight came through pain. Although the intense pain only lasted until the Vicadin kicked in, my sight came through a wound that healed.
Working out and seeing results requires effort and usually includes microscopic tears in your muscle fibers which will heal.
It’s easy to make excuses and delay pursuing your dream. I’ve been doing it for years. You know you have a great friend when they tell you the truth. A year ago I was talking about wanting to work out more and my friend Julie looked me in the eyes. Maybe you should stop talking about it and do it.
After a day and a half of being angry with her, I realized she was right.
My writing year is dedicated to put the energy I’ve spent talking about writing into actually writing. I’m looking forward to the year ahead.
Do you have any New Year resolutions?
