The Purpose of Rant Writing

My most recent homework assignment was to rant: Write about something that frustrates you. Share a weakness and brainstorm a remedy.

Before I share my rant, I wanted to encourage any others interested in the assignment to take some time to rant.

The purpose of rant writing is to distill our thoughts, find our passion and reveal our unedited thoughts.

Rant writing is not finished writing. It is the clay we can later mold and shape into a meaningful piece.

Feel free to share your rant, or even just a quick sentence about what’s been on your heart, what frustrates you or a weakness you’d love to overcome or help others overcome.

I have to say my weaknesses frustrate me; at the most in opportune times they get me down; but I am learning those are the things that remind me how much I must depend on God. He is the only one who can help me in my weaknesses.
