I noticed you are reading The Living by Annie Dillard. I tried to read that book – and didn’t think it her best. Do you like her essays? I love them. I loved The Writing Life – which I think, if you haven’t read, would really enjoy. And For The Time Being was brilliant – edgy and out of the box – but brilliant.

I too love Annie Dillard’s writing – have you read Teaching a Stone to Talk? It was the first book I read of hers and
still maybe my favorite.
